Composters and How to Compost

Composting is a natural way of making you own soil. In doing this you are eliminating the use of fertilizers, chemicals or GMO’s.You end up pure organic soil.

Things you can compost:
Cooking scraps that are produce only
Eggs shells are very good
Breverages, kitchen liquid waste such as coffe, tea and dishwater.
Coffee grinds. Teas leaves and bags
Hair
Paper towels Kleenex
Cardboard cut up in little pieces
Tree trimmings
Leaves
Garden waste any thing that is biodegradable to make it simple.

Things you cannot compost:
Meat,oils,fat,grease and bones
Non biodegradable materials
Ashes coal or charcoal
Dog droppings, cat droppings {cat litter}
Colored Paper
Lime acidity can kill composting action

There are different types of composters each composter basicaly does the same job it makes you some organic soil. I myself prefer the tumbling composter because you just turn the handle and your compost mixes easy. I should mention that when you compost you have to stir and add water to your compost. You just do not just fill it up and expect soil. It involves like I said a little mixing and adding water to your composter occasionally. What you do is you purchase yourself a kitchen composter to put all your compostable matter in. From there it goes into your composter outside. So now we are recycling, composting and using our green bins so really we should be lucky if we have 1/4 garbage can full to put to the road at the end of the week. This is what we need to do produce less waste to the landfill sites.

Composting doesn't have to be ugly or difficult, Disciplining ourselves to do it is the difficult part, taking the time to apply ourselves. It is a matter of saying, Yes I am going to apply myself to make a impact on ecoglobal living by reducing my waste. If you do not have a composter these scraps can be put in a biodegradable bag then can be put in green box.
