Cultivating

Posted On 23-03-2010 , 11:05 AM

Every gardener knows that using the right tools to garden is very important. A few years ago my father inlaw gave me a rotary cultivating tool it was the cats meow. With this cultivator you can cultivate in between rows. It is also excellant for pulling weeds on a weekly basis.
You can use it with the three blades or two blades  even the one blade is very handy for hard to get spots like around your roses. This cultivator saves alot of time and back ache it does a wonderful job. Dandeny!

Every Gardener's Pride

Posted On 22-03-2010 , 1:32 PM

Tomatoe's are what I take pride of growing in my garden. I think that most gardener's feel the same way. There is nothing better than picking a nice big tomatoe from your garden. The taste is not comparable to a store bought tomatoe. The little cherry tomatoe's are so tasty they melt in your mouth. The plum tomatoe's are the best for italian sauce's. Home made salsa, fried green tomatoe's the list is endless to what you can do with tomatoe's. Tomatoe's benefits are prevention of cancer, heart disease and even cataracts just to name a few. Next week I will be starting to plant my seedlings indoors they will be ready just in time for planting in my organic raised garden bed.

Hanging Strawberries

Posted On 20-03-2010 , 12:36 PM

This was one of my new projects last year. I was very surprised at the amount of strawberries I actually harvested from this method. When they first flowered they were gourgeous then came the beautiful fruit, fresh strawberries. With this method you can grow berries all year long indoors or out. Dandeny!

Irish Shamrocks

Posted On 15-03-2010 , 9:51 AM

Irish Shamrocks are a beautiful touch of spring. You can start them now indoors and when weather starts to get warmer you can transplant them outside. I love shamrocks because I was born on St. Patrick's Day. The shamrock was used to represent the Trinity by St. Patrick. St. Patrick used this to symbolize how The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit  can be separate but also part of the same entity. But this is only a myth. Shamrocks are ideal as gift for weddings, christenings, home moves and for St. Patrick's day of course. Irish shamrock's are recognized by the government of Ireland as the official national symbol of Ireland. It is time to go green. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Dandeny!

The Beneficials Garden Pack includes three species of efficient pest-eaters that (unlike chemical controls) won't harm plants, earthworms, or humans People think that all bugs are bad. But what they don"t know is that many bugs can be very beneficial. These are three beneficial bugs that will keep your garden healthy. Dandeny!
