Irish Shamrocks

Posted On 15-03-2010 , 9:51 AM

Irish Shamrocks are a beautiful touch of spring. You can start them now indoors and when weather starts to get warmer you can transplant them outside. I love shamrocks because I was born on St. Patrick's Day. The shamrock was used to represent the Trinity by St. Patrick. St. Patrick used this to symbolize how The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit  can be separate but also part of the same entity. But this is only a myth. Shamrocks are ideal as gift for weddings, christenings, home moves and for St. Patrick's day of course. Irish shamrock's are recognized by the government of Ireland as the official national symbol of Ireland. It is time to go green. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Dandeny!

Tulips

Posted On 07-03-2010 , 9:30 AM

Nothing says springtime like a garden of rainbow-colored tulips. These premium, extra-large bulbs produce flowers that are 25% larger than conventional tulips a full 5" tall on sturdy, 26" stems. Unlike other tulips, which usually flower for just a year or two, these bulbs act like perennials, and will rebloom each spring for five years or more. Tulips originated from holland and are known to be a favourite spring beauty. I like to blend these in with my hyacinth's. The reason being is because the hyacinth has that distinct smell and the tulips have the extra beauty. Together they make a beautiful spring garden.

Bleeding Heart

Posted On 04-03-2010 , 6:20 PM

The Bleeding Heart is another early spring perenial that you will enjoy in your garden very much. This plant speaks for itself with it's distinct heart shaped flowers. It is unbelievable how a flower can bloom in the shape of a heart with little dragging blooms that makes it look like it is bleeding. This plant to me is very comforting because I like to remember all the loved ones I have lost. Sometimes we get to caught up in life and we forget. Bleeding heart reminds you in a hurry. There is nothing wrong with missing the ones you love. On the other hand this flower can also mean your devoted love to the one you love. Common plant to give to someone you really love  mother.daughter.fiancee. ect...
